Great Oaks Academy is a public charter school. That means there are no admissions requirements. Every student is given an equal opportunity to attend our school.
Each year we hold a 30-day open enrollment period in the spring. The 2021-2022 school year open enrollment period begins March 1st through March 30th, 2021. During this open enrollment period, interested families submit a simple form containing the student’s name and grade, and some family information so we know how to reach you.
At the end of the open enrollment period, a randomized lottery will be held to determine which students are awarded the open spots. Seats are awarded to the students in the order they were drawn. Students who are not awarded a seat are placed on a waiting list. If an enrolled student chooses to withdraw, or a selected student chooses not to enroll, we offer those open seats to students on the waiting list in the order they were drawn. Seats can come open at any time during the year. All current students retain their enrollment year to year. Incoming siblings of students currently attending Great Oaks Academy will receive priority in the lottery.
Once your student is offered a seat at Great Oaks, you’ll be asked to complete an enrollment packet and given ten days to do so. This packet includes items such as your child’s birth certificate, immunizations and academic records from previous schools.
